From the contact managar main screen shown above, you can view all the contacts in your database, access a search screen, add new contacts, setup email campaigns and build your own membership registration forms.
Uploading and Downloading Contacts
To downloads contacts click
on the approprite button to download the contacts in CSV format of Tab delimited
format.
To upload contacts, your spread sheet has to be in the correct format, so you need to first download any contacts that are stored in the system, then open up the downloaded file and delete all the rows accept for the first row. The first row contains the formatting information that the data is stored in. Once you have deleted everything accept the first row, you may add all of the data that you want to upload in the format based on the headings in the first row.
Editing or Deleting contacts using the spread sheet
If you would like to edit or delete a large number of your contacts all at once, you may do this by uploading a spread sheet. You would first download the spread sheet and then leave contacts that you want to edit or delete. You should delete the rows of the contacts that you do not want to edit or delete. To edit a contact, make the necessary changes to the contact in the spread sheet, then add an "Action" column to your spread and put the letter E in the row of the contact that you want to edit, then upload your modified spread sheet.. To delete a contact, add an action column to your spread and put the letter D in the row of the contact that you want to delete, then upload your modified spread sheet.
Sending out a mass email when uploading spread sheet
If you would like to have your mass email sent out as soon as you upload your contacts, you need to have a field in the spread sheet called "Send stored email" and in this field you would simply put the subject of the email that you want to send out in the field. If you do not want a mass email sent, then leave this field blank.
